Mitchelton Ambulance Station to open its doors
The newly completed Mitchelton Ambulance Station will invite the local community to inspect their state-of-the art facilities at an Open Day on Saturday 4 September, from 10am-12pm.
A free barbecue will be run by the Grovely Local Ambulance Committee. The completion of this station is a significant event for the local area, and I invite you to join me at the Open Day.
Murray
Seniors celebrated in Everton
Murray's second Everton Senior Heroes Awards have been a great success. Held at Aveo Albany Creek and the Mitchelton Senior Citizens Club, senior members of the community have been recognised for all sorts of quiet achievements.
Murray held these awards for the first time last year and they were a great success. Through his involvement with many seniors in different community organisations in Everton, Murray know just how important it is to support and celebrate these fine people.
National Tree Day
Our schools recently participated in National Tree Day for schools, and Murray dropped off young native trees to some local schools in Everton. There were a number of community tree plantings around the place, including in Albany Creek and Eatons Hill. It's always great to see families getting out and about on the weekends, and particularly joining in for a terrific cause - keeping our community green.

Principal for a Day in Albany Creek
Murray was pleased to recently have the opportunity to be Principal for a Day at Albany Creek State School. The experience helped him better understand the hard work of our principals and teachers. A special thanks to the prep class for sharing their healthy lunch!
